Maintaining the pedigree of the Maude Pinot Noir is absolutely critical; but achieving this requires flexibility with both the blend as well as the technique as both vary with each vintage. Right in the heart of the magical Waihopai Valley, a million miles from anywhere, lies The Ned, one of Marlborough's most famous peaks. The Ned Pinot Noir - Delicious aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry liquorice and dried oregano with a fragrant all spice lift. The nose is abundant with vibrant red fruits supported by subtle hints of French Oak. Exhibits typical regional characters of red berries and cherries mixed with spicy and earthy notes. The texture of the wine is soft with supple tannins and carries flavours of red fruits and spice through the palate to a soft, persistent finish.

This elegantly structured Pinot Noir from Marlborough's southern Awatere Valley displays aromatic layers of red fruit and spicy florals that lead to mouth-filling flavours of cherry, plum and finely integrated French oak. Balanced with soft, silky tannins, this wine has a delightfully long and lingering smooth finish.

The blackberry, spice and liquorice nuances combine to produce a fruit dominant but complex wine. A small inclusion of the white variety Viognier gives the wine beautiful perfume and allows the wine more accessibility while young. This wine is of the lighter style.

The leather and plum aromas of the Merlot combine with spice and red fruit characters of Tempranillo and Malbec. Cassis aromas and structural backbone are provided by the Cabernet family.

Velluto Rosso Cask Wine Red. A sweet, soft red wine, made from a blend of red grape varieties. Best served at room temperature, either on its own or with food.

This blend of predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon has fragrant aromas and flavours of cassis, red fruits and dried herbs. A rich mouthfeel is balanced with supple tannins leading to a deliciously smooth finish.
